The Jewett Piano Manufacturing company continued to build a full line of pianos and player pianos until the company closed in 1936 with the Great Depression. This is one of the latest model built as a "pirate copy" of Steinway AA model.
This 6'4" grand piano was used for 25 years in the house of professional piano technician and piano rebuilder who made a complete rebuilding (new pinblock, #2 pins, new hammers) and refinishing the instrument. It was tuned two-three times a year. Outside condition is not perfect, touch-up is needed around keyboard and legs. Otherwise condition is very good. New German hammers, very tight pins, the frame is clean and shine, the soundboard has no cracks, the sound is huge, loud and expressive tone requiring a small music hall or larger than usual leaving room.
The keyboard has a little heavy rather than light touching, which usually preferred by professional musicians.
Buying this very noble instrument is equal to having a Steinway AA , because all parameters, action and sound are practically the same.
