This fully restored Kirkman plays well. The restoration, including action, hammers, strings, pins, and finish (woodwork) was done between 1998-2005.
It was purchased in London, UK and shipped to Canada at some time in the mid to late 1800s.
It fits between a pianoforte and modern grand pianos. Therefore, it's light in tone and sound. It's a very rare and period piece.
Kirkman was known for their harpsichords so this was their entry into pianos.
