A very rare, superbly rebuilt 1898 New York Steinway C, in perfect condition. It was totally rebuilt on 2008 by one of the top rebuilders in the Boston area and the action was further rebuilt in 2023. This semi-concert grand, sized at 7 feet 5 inches between the Model D and Model B, has an extraordinary deep, rich tone. This version of the Model C is extremely rare, having been in regular production in New York only from 1896 to 1906. It has a magnificent Victorian case, which has been flawlessly refinished except for the fall board, which was left intact in order to preserve its original Steinway label. It has its original fretwork music desk, ivory keys and ebony wood sharps. Included is a Dampp-Chaser humidity control system.
