Larry Fine, author of The Piano Book, helped me buy this piano and I then sent it to a famous piano rebuilder, Jack Wyatt, who was also assisting Larry in writing his book. The Piano Technical Guild Museum in Kansas City is named the Jack Wyatt Museum.

Vintage Mason & Hamlin Model AA 6'2" grand piano, from the highly sought-after period before Mason & Hamlin was bought by the Aeolian Piano Company. This period is considered the Golden Age of Mason & Hamlin.

The piano has been completely rebuilt with a new pin block, soundboard, finish and Renner action. It has has been recently regulated and voiced by a Mason & Hamlin factory-trained technician & RPT.

The soundboard is new and bridges are structurally sound. The piano has a fat, blending sound that the best Mason & Hamlin's from this period are famous for.

The gorgeous figured mahogany case has also been refinished with the classic American hand-rubbed satin lacquer finish

Mason & Hamlin employs a design which allows for more soundboard area than other pianos of their size. Structurally, the AA is one of the most robust designs of any piano of the 20th century.
