Don't confuse this piano with your average Kimball; it has no resemblance to the inexpensive consumer-grands that were manufactured for the home market. Kimball owned Bosendorfer, one of the world's premier piano manufacturers, from 1966-1996. This instrument was manufactured during that time period and it shares some Bosendorfer design features. The tone is warm and robust, more European sounding than the bright sounding pianos that are manufactured in Asia. The action plays smooth and responsive with good power and control from bass to treble. The condition is pristine! It has received very little use during its lifetime and, therefore, the hammers and other action parts show very light wear. It would be difficult to distinguish this piano from a brand new model. The high- gloss finish is nearly flawless. The soundboard and bridges are in perfect condition, showing no splits or cracks. The piano is equipped with the German-designed Schwander action, renowned for its pleasing touch. The piano has been well-cared for over the years. The strings and soundboard have been protected with a dust cover. This instrument would be a perfect choice for a church, school, recital hall, recording studio or large home. Adjustable piano bench included. Don't let the name on the fallboard influence you. If you are in the market for a performance quality grand piano, you owe it to yourself to audition this instrument before you make a decision. Get the same tone and performance that you would expect from the premium brands at a fraction of the cost. You will not be disappointed!
