We have LOVED our piano for over 50 years... but alas it is time for it to move on to another loving family.
Jonas Chickering was the first piano builder in America, established in 1823. They are known for building some of the finest pianos in history.
Our Chickering Anniversary Grand was the Maestro's piano in Flint, Michigan at the Flint Symphony before WWII through the early 1960s.
For 8 years our antique beauty was painted green and was owned by a prominent family in Flint.
At the time my family acquired our Chickering Anniversary Grand (in 1968) it took a Lansing, MI piano restoration company 11 months to restore the walnut finish to original condition... including the Anniversary Grand sounding board.
This exquisite instrument has been well cared for and played by generations of our family.
