During WW2 war rationing inhibited production of pianos except for military (USO) use; therefore only a few pianos were made during this time, but they made very well and very well suited for transportation. This upright spinet is a piece of that history, it plays, will tune, and except for a few minor blemishes the mahogany and maple are in very good condition. I got this piano 20 years ago and spent a month of Sundays refurbishing it and my daughter took piano lessons on it. It has been sitting in my living room since that time. Since it is part of history, it really belongs in a museum or VFW. I would be happy to donate it if you are a museum, VFW or other historical society and would want it for the enjoyment of others. You would have to pick it up or provide a shipping service. Anyone else $700 obo and you pick up or contact one of the piano movers listed in this site. The piano appraises at $950-$1,600. Time is of the essence as I am moving and really don't want to put it in storage. The piano is currently located in Hayward WI.
