This instrument was reconditioned in the early 1980's. At that time, the cabinet was refinished, the plate was reguilted, new hammers, shanks, flanges, pinblock, strings and dampers were installed. The original ivory keys are in good condition. The new hammers show light wear.

This instrument has a lovely rich and powerful tone. The touch is even from bass through treble with good control.

Steinway no longer offers a Model L in their lineup, however, they do offer a comparable Model O which is the same size as the Model L. The list price for a brand new Model O is $87,600. Save thousands with this rebuilt instrument from the Golden Age of Steinway.

The strings and soundboard have been protected with a felt dust cover.
