Mason & Hamlin is a high-quality piano manufacturer that is generally unfamiliar to the general public. It is not as well-known as Steinway, Baldwin, Chickering or Yamaha but amongst piano aficionados, Mason and Hamlin is recognized as one of the World's Finest Piano Manufacturers.
The Mason & Hamlin company was originally based in Boston but Aeolian Piano Company took over and production was moved to East Rochester, NY in 1932. The Boston-built Mason & Hamlins are generally considered to of better quality than the Aeolian pianos.
This instrument has been totally rebuilt including cabinet refinishing, new soundboard, bridges, pinblock, strings, hammers, shanks, flanges and dampers.
Rich, bold sound with responsive touch and performance.
The list price for a brand new BB is over $94,000. At about one third of the cost of new, save thousands with this rebuilt model.
