In 45 years selling Steinway this is one of the nicest and rarest C & A (Concert & Artist) Steinway I have seen. Steinway hand picked this piano for the Concert Stage and was used from 1947 to 1954. There is something about the soundboard in 1947 and 1948 that have produced a tone like no other ones I have heard. We have spend $8,500 refinishing this piano in a High Gloss Finish, Then a New Bulduc Pin Block and Mapes High Quality Strings. All of the action parts are Steinway Parts. A number of other new parts. The tone on this CB340 is strong but with a warmth that will make your heart melt.
