I purchased this piano locally from the original Denver owner, and had restored by certified tech just 15 years ago, meaning it will last someone well beyond many new pianos sold today. Top quality German strings, top quality hammers matching weight of original, and new action parts (shanks, flanges, backchecks). Has a medium to light touch and a rich solo tone. Unparalleled bass response and tuning stability. Original finish still shows well. (Many believe the African Mahogany with it's red and black hues is one of the richest woods found in pianos. Includes matching artist bench. Low playing hours on rebuild as well as original. This is a great choice for anyone who desires top playing quality at a bargain price, as I invested for playing quality and not unnecessary cosmetics. As such, I am able to sell for close to the cost of the work done. Please price these upgrades before attempting to bargain against non or inadequately restored instruments. Other Masons in this price range will likely be the from the cheaper 'Aeolian' period and not comparable. Since the piano has been in the same 'dry' climate it's whole life, it may be safely relocated to either a dry or damp climate location. (It's not good to go from damp to dry).
