This Young Chang U-131 was purchased new by the current owner in 1989. The 52” height of this piano allows for longer string length and a larger soundboard, the two most important factors for good tone production. This instrument has been owned and played by a professional musician for its entire life. The piano was recently described by a piano technician as being in like-new condition. It is only being sold now because the owner acquired a Steinway grand piano. This instrument would be an excellent choice for a serious piano student or adult musician.
Young Chang no longer produces U-series uprights (made in South Korea). A new Young Chang Y-131 (made in China) has an MSRP of $6870. This is a great piano at a great price!
