At one time, Young Chang distributed pianos for Yamaha and for a short time, they built and assembled pianos which bore the Yamaha name. This instrument is the same height and cabinet style as the Yamaha U-1 but for much less money. It is in overall good condition. The soundboard, bridges and keys are in excellent condition showing no chips, splits or cracks. The cabinet has a few niks and dings, but there is no serious damage. This piano features a handy mute rail which reduces the volume by 50% for quiet practicing. A similar model is still being produced by Young Chang and has a list price of $6,620. This piano has much better tone and performance than a spinet or console piano and would be a perfect choice for a beginning or intermediate piano student.
