This ebony-finish baby grand Steinway S has been lovingly cared for by one family for 80 years. We are down-sizing and need to find a new home for it.

The action is responsive and sensitive, and the sound is stunning, appropriate both for solo and chamber music playing. It has been played by a number of professional pianists, and used for many house concerts.

"The tone is open and clear and the action is very controllable," says the certified Steinway piano technician who professionally restored it in 2004 as follows: The action was completely reworked and new strings were installed. New bridge caps and a Steinway pinblock were also installed; the plate was refinished and the piano restrung. Thorough key work included new backchecks, key rebushing and cleaning/polishing the ivory keys. New Steinway hammers, shanks, flanges and repetitions were installed. The action was then regulated. New damper felt was installed and the original damper action was restored and regulated. The Steinway hammers were then voiced.
